The increasing number of people with dementia is a well-publicised fact. It is vital that the adult social care workforce is prepared and suitably skilled to meet the diverse needs of those affected. New units and qualifications are now available to reflect current best practice in this area.

Specific dementia qualifications are available at levels 2 and 3:

  • Level 2 Award Awareness of Dementia
  • Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Care
  • Level 3 Award Awareness of Dementia
  • Level 3 Certificate in Dementia Care

 

 

 

 

 

 

A selection of flexible pick and mix optional units are available to support specific units of study, which include: DEM201, DEM202, DEM205, DEM207 at Level 2, and DEM301, DEM304, DEM312, DEM313 at Level 3.
