Teenagers building a career in construction
Students who are interested in taking up a career in the construction industry had the opportunity to learn about the trade from the team behind a new state-of-the-art hospital in Whitley.
VINCI Construction UK teamed up with the Construction Youth Trust, a charity that supports young people pursue their careers, and 30 Year 12 students from Prospect School, Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School and Sixth Form Centre, Reading College and John Madejski Academy, to give them an insight into the trade.
The students, who are all studying science, technology, environment and maths (STEM) learned about the professional side of construction from young speakers who already worked in the industry.
